The sun marks Nov. 11 on the memorial sun dial in Thomas B. Reed Park.
LONGPORT – American Legion Post 469 will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11 at Thomas B. Reed Park, 27th and Oberon avenues. The park is located at the foot of the Longport Bridge.
This year’s ceremony will include the installation of three memorial pavers in memory of three local military veterans. The ceremony will be attended by the veterans’ family members.
The American Legion, Legion Auxiliary will present wreaths of honor in front of the borough’s Memorial Monument, a sundial that depicts various historical events in the nation’s history.
