Santa will be visiting good little boys and girls in Longport 6-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14.

LONGPORT – According to the North Pole Communication Center, Santa has some sad news and some good news for good little boys and girls in Longport.

Unfortunately, to protect the health and safety of Longport’s children during troubling times, Santa regretfully will not be holding his annual luncheon this year, his communication officer said.

But according to the Jolly Old Elf, there’s something more exciting on the holiday horizon.

Santa will be coming to your home.

The Longport Volunteer Fire Department is currently accepting reservations for Santa to visit children at their homes between 6 and 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14.

Not only will he visit, but he will be bringing a special gift for those on the Nice List.

However, Santa needs to know where to program his sleigh during his holiday drive-around, so to register your location, send an email with your child’s name, age and address to preslpvfd@longport-nj.us.

Information will be kept strictly confidential so as not to spoil any surprises for this once-in-a-lifetime event.
