SOMERS POINT — Orthopedic surgeon Norman A. Johanson and advanced practice nurse Tara E. Chidsey recently joined Tuan “Mickey” Bui at Shore Physicians Group’s Surgery and Sports Medicine Division, located at 649 Shore Road, Suite O, in Somers Point.
The trio worked together closely at Hahnemann University Hospital and are thrilled to be reunited to provide orthopedic care to the Jersey shore region. Their combined experience in joint pain, sports injuries and orthopedic pain relief will help expand opportunities for patients to receive the care they need.
A graduate of Columbia University and Cornell Medical School, Dr. Johanson is board certified in orthopedic surgery. Aside from being a highly regarded surgeon and a Philadelphia Magazine Top Doc every year since 1990, Dr. Johanson is also a top educator in the field of orthopedics and has served as an assistant professor of surgery at Cornell, professor of orthopedic surgery at Temple
Tara Chidsey
School of Medicine and chairman of Drexel University College of Medicine. He has vast experience that stretches from Hahnemann and Temple to Bronx Veterans Administration Medical, Shriners Hospital for Children, and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.
Chidsey worked closely with Dr. Johanson and Dr. Bui at Hahnemann as their surgical scrub nurse.
