Atlantic County Health Department Wednesday, Dec. 23 announced 114 new COVID-19 positives and the deaths of three people, a 50-year-old Absecon woman, an 81-year-old Pleasantville woman, and a 62-year-old Ventnor man.

Positive cases were found in 51 males, ages 1 month to 98, and 63 females, ages 2 months to 108. These cases bring the total number of cases in Atlantic County to 13,255, with 330 deaths and 6,012 reported as recovered.

In the Downbeach area, cumulative totals show 365 positives and 5 deaths in Ventnor, 235 positives and two deaths in Margate, and 29 positives and one death in Longport.

Residents are encouraged to do everything they can to avoid contracting or spreading the disease, including wearing masks in public, social distancing as much as possible, and handwashing and disinfecting high-touch surfaces.

The county continues to provide COVID-19 testing 9-11:30 a.m. each Tuesday, by appointment, for county residents at the county’s Public Works yard, 617 Dolphin Ave., Northfield. If available, appointments can be made online at: https://www.atlantic-county.org/covid
