NJ State Association of Chiefs of Police

VENTNOR – The New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police is reviewing the Ventnor Police Department’s request for re-accreditation and will be conducting an on-site assessment to ensure the department meets recognized professional best practices.

The accreditation program requires law enforcement agencies to comply with best practice standards in five areas: administration, personnel, operations, investigations, and arrest and detainee functions.

Members of the public, as well as department personnel, are invited to offer comments by calling 609-823-7930, 10-11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1. Comments will be recorded by the assessment team. Email comments can be sent to the Police Department at sdoyle@police.ventnorcity.org.

Telephone comments are limited to five minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with NJSACOP standards.

Written comments can be sent to accreditation Program Director Harry J. Delgado, Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission, NJ State Association of Chiefs of Police, 751 Rt. 73 North, Suite 12, Marlton, NJ 08053, or emailed to hdelgado@njsacop.org.
