MARGATE – Always in service to the community, the Margate City Fire Department is offering senior citizens who need it assistance in scheduling COVID-19 vaccinations.

Any Margate senior citizen who does not have access to the internet or access to a smart phone can call the Fire Department to assist them with accessing this information.

The program is designed for Margate seniors who do not have family members to assist them or are not capable of accessing the information on their own.

Individuals 65 and over can pre-register for a vaccination appointment using the NJ Vaccine Scheduling System at covid19.nj.gov/vaccine. The vaccine telephone call center at 855-568-0545 is also open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week.

If a senior does not have access to a computer or smartphone, the Margate City Fire Department will assist in signing them up to receive a vaccine.

Members of the Fire Department will be available to assist seniors 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday by calling 609-822-5562.
