Absecon Lighthouse on Rhode Island Ave. in the Atlantic City inlet area.

ATLANTIC CITY – Absecon Lighthouse is hosting its annual Wedding Vow Renewal event on Valentine’s Day, Sunday, Feb. 14, this year with a twist. Due to gathering restrictions, couples are invited to take part in a mini-vow renewal ceremony with a non-denominational minister in the Keeper’s Cottage.

A maximum of two couples can have their in person vow renewal, every half hour from 1-4 p.m., for a total of seven mini ceremonies and 14 couples.

Then, at 4:30 p.m., there will be a “Virtual Vow Renewal Ceremony” on ZOOM for those wishing to stay home.

The cost for in-person renewals is $40 per couple for either an in person or virtual renewal. The in person vowel renewals held on the half-hour include a tower climb. Fundraiser organizers encourage couples to “give from the heart” and increase their donation to keep the iconic Atlantic City landmark shining.

Reservations can be made for either in person or Zoom ceremonies by calling the Absecon Lighthouse at 609-449-1360. A ZOOM link will be emailed to those couples participating virtually.

Absecon Lighthouse is a state-owned historic property administered by the non-profit
Inlet Public/Private Association. Located at 31 S. Rhode Island Ave. in Atlantic City. It is open to visitors 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Monday.
