Atlantic County Health Department reported five new deaths from COVID-19 Friday, Jan. 29, including a 69-year-old Margate man, bringing the total number of deaths in Margate to 10.

Other deaths from COVID-19 reported on Friday include a 60-year-old Egg Harbor Township man, an 88-year-old Linwood man and two Galloway Township residents – a 29-year-old man and an 86-year-old woman. Four of the five individuals had pre-existing conditions and one was a resident of a long-term care facility.

The county also reported 156 new COVID-19 positives in 90 males, ages 2-89, and 66 females, ages 6-87.

Weekly COVID-19 drive-through testing will be held 9-11:30 a.m. each Tuesday until further notice by appointment only at the county’s Public Works yard, 617 Dolphin Ave., Northfield.

Testing at the Galloway Township branch of the Atlantic County Library System has been extended through Thursday, Feb. 11, weekdays only. Appointments are preferred but walk-ins will also be accepted. Visit www.aclink.org  to learn more.
