Meeting announcement.

VENTNOR – The Board of Education will hold a special meeting 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, to approve the 2021-2022 budget for submission to Atlantic County Executive Superintendent of Schools Robert Bumpus for his review and approval.

New Jersey released state aid figures Thursday, Feb. 25 that indicate a $214,246 decrease in state aid for the Ventnor school district, which is greater than the district anticipated. According to Business Administrator Terri Nowotny, the district received an increase of $121,481 over current year in preschool aid, with the rest of the state aid remaining flat.

“We are currently developing the budget and I am waiting on an updated net valuation of property,” she said Friday morning.

Members of the public will be able to attend virtually. Instructions on how to participate in the Zoom meeting will be post on the district website at www.veccnj.org.

In addition to the budget submission, the board may take action on other general business.

A full budget presentation for the public will be presented at the March 24 regular Board of Education meeting.
