Chelsea Neighborhood Association held month-long empanada contest in the Chelsea area of Atlantic City in August 2020. Now, the organization is offering 10% discounts at area restaurants during the month of March.

ATLANTIC CITY – More than a dozen local restaurants in the Chelsea district of Atlantic City are offering a 10% discount on all take-out orders each Tuesday during the month of March. The discount program, sponsored by the Chelsea Economic Development Corporation, is meant to encourage support of the area’s local businesses.

Chelsea EDC is a non-profit community development corporation dedicated to creating a more vibrant, equitable, and connected Chelsea through strategic neighborhood revitalization.

The organization partners with residents, businesses, and community organizations to expand economic opportunity and to improve the quality of life in the Chelsea neighborhood. The EDC’s focus area is a .75-square-mile area from Annapolis Avenue to Texas Avenue and from the beach to the bay, and includes Stockton University, South Jersey Gas Headquarters, and the Tropicana, as well as 10,000 residents and 150 small businesses. Chelsea’s greatest assets are its diversity of people and amenities, as well as its pristine beach, expansive bay access, and beautiful green spaces.

This past August, Chelsea EDC organized the Best Empanada Challenge where 10 Latin restaurants shared their country’s version of empanadas resulting in hundreds of new customers, with more than 2,000 votes cast online.

On Tuesdays in March customers can enjoy the 10% discount at the following Chelsea district establishments: Pho OK, Green Apple Natural Juices, Beat the Daily Grind Coffee House, Sabor, Salvadoreno, Mexico Restaurant, Rincon Catracho, Mr. Taco, Karpuzi’s Pizzeria, El Patron, El Hondureno, Tony’s Baltimore Grill, Joe’s Famous Hoagies, The Chelsea Pub, Broadway Burger Bar, Chickie’s & Pete’s and Carmine’s Italian Restaurant.
