VENTNOR – The city’s Office of Special Events today announced the lineup for entertainment for the summer season.
Concerts will be held 6-9 p.m. Saturdays at the beachfront park at Newport Avenue. Crafters, food and drinks will be available starting at 5 p.m.
The lineup includes:
- May 29 – The Burnsiders, raggae
- June 5 – One for the Road, country rock
- June 12 – Zoetrope, funky rock
- June 19 – Package Goods Orchestra, a little bit of everything
- June 26 – Galway Guild, Irish
- July 3 – Dead Reckoning, Grateful Dead covers
- July 4 (Sunday) – People’s Choice/Ben Singleton, soul/Motown
- July 10 – Kilted Rouges – Irish pipes and drums
- July 17 – The Beat Tells, Beatles covers
- July 24 – The Notion, classic rock
- July 30 (Friday) – The Usual Suspects, pop/rock covers
- Aug. 7 – The Friends Classic Rock Band, classic rock
- Aug. 14 – The Flynn’s, Irish
- Aug. 21 – SJC, rock
- Aug. 28 – Fusebox, classic rock to today
- Sept. 4 – The Exceptions, a little bit of everything
Movies will be shown at Ski Beach 5 p.m. Wednesdays, followed by a concert at 7 p.m. Crafters, food and drinks will be available starting at 4:30 p.m.

- June 30 – “Soul,” and The Burnsiders, reggae
- July 28 Christmas in July – “Elf,” and Gina Roche, singer/songwriter
- Aug. 25 – “We Are Heroes,” and The Burnsiders, reggae
The Spring Block Party will be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 8 on Ventnor Avenue, between Portland and Troy avenues.
Entertainment includes :
- Bernie & Wally USA DJ Entertainment – 10-11 a.m., 12:30-1 p.m. and 2:30-3 p.m.
- Even Betta – 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
- Ricky Stevens – 1-2:30 p.m.
- Billy McMenamin – 3-5 p.m.
