Meadowview Nursing Home, Northfield.

NORTHFIELD – Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson announced today that the Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Northfield is accepting appointments for indoor visits with its residents.

“While we have been able to permit family members to virtually visit with their loved ones throughout the pandemic, it is not the same as being in the same room with them and seeing them in person,” he said. “This will be extremely beneficial to our residents. I commend our staff who have done their best to provide extraordinary care and attention during this difficult time, but as wonderful as they are, they cannot replace family.”

Virtual visits will continue but 30-minute indoor visits will also be available, and as weather permits, outdoor visits will resume. Masks will be required for indoor and outdoor visits and social distancing will be maintained, whether or not the visitor has been vaccinated. All consenting residents and staff of the facility have received their vaccinations, Levinson said in a release.

“This is a first step back towards what we hope will be some normalcy for our long-term care facilities that have suffered so much,” he said.

Appointments will be available 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m Monday through Friday. Visit www.aclink.org/meadowview or call 609-645-5955 to schedule a visit.

Meadowview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 180-bed facility owned and operated by Atlantic County. It is located at 235 Dolphin Ave. in Northfield.
