Longport congratulates this year’s winners of the Beach Tag Contest. Longport 2021 seasonal beach tags were designed by students Grace Vogt, who designed the seasonal tag featuring a sea turtle, and Jakob Brotsker, who designed the senior tag featuring the borough’s iconic smiley-faced water tower.

LONGPORT – Pre-season sales of Longport beach tags will start Monday, April 19.

Beach tags can be purchased 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at Longport Borough Hall, 2305 Atlantic Ave. During the month of May, tags can be purchased at Borough Hall on the weekends as well.

Starting May 28, tags will also be available for purchase at the Community Building, 33rd and Atlantic avenues, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

The last day to purchase tags at the pre-season rate is June 18.

Cost is $15 each, $5 for seniors until June 18; afterward, the rates rise to $30 each, $10 for seniors 65 and older.

Beach tags are offered free to active military and veterans with a valid DD214.

Tags can be purchased in-person using cash or check payable to Borough of Longport. Tags can also be purchased by credit or debit card using the VIPLY app on your smartphone. When using VIPLY, tags are purchased in advance and picked up in person during sale times listed above.
