Another Ventnor resident has died from COVID-19 bringing the total number of deaths from the virus in the city to 17.

The Atlantic County Health Department Friday, April 23 reported the deaths of a  56-year-old Ventnor man and a 71-year-old Egg Harbor Township man.

It also reported 71 new COVID-19 positives in 36 males, ages 1-67, and 35 females, ages 3-79, bringing the total number of positives in Atlantic County to 26,586, with 643 deaths and 14,375 cleared from isolation.

The cumulative totals from the Downbeach communities are:

Longport 54 1
Margate 435 12
Ventnor 830 17

Weekly COVID-19 drive-through testing at 617 Dolphin Ave. in Northfield is available by appointment 9-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday but will be discontinued after April 27 due to declining demand at that location. Appointments can be made by calling 1-888-285-2684 or by accessing the online testing appointment link at www.aclink.org.
