Atlantic City Ballet performs ‘Waiting in Time,’ an original ballet reflecting themes surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Atlantic City Ballet company is hosting a fundraiser that includes live performances during a virtual luau that can be enjoyed at home 8-9 p.m. Thursday, June 17.

The “Aloha AC Ballet” will fund future live performances beginning in September.

Participants can host their own luau with a “party box” while watching performances by the AC Ballet dancers. Melanie Rice will serve as mistress of ceremonies. The ballet is also conducting a virtual online auction now and through the luau night, feature unique gifts, fun experiences and gift certificates.

Tickets to the virtual fundraiser are $200 for two people and can be purchased at acballet.or/special-events.

Since its inception, the Atlantic City Ballet has served as one of the cultural treasures of New Jersey and continues a tradition of dance excellence for future generations of ballet audiences. Founded by Papa in 1982, the Atlantic City Ballet is comprised of professional dancers from around the world, who have earned national acclaim for their technical expertise and exuberant stage presence.

Although their home base is in Jim Whelan Historic Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, the ballet has performed in theaters all along the east and west coasts.
