Ventnor Square Theater cut the ribbon May 22, 2021.

VENTNOR – The long awaited Ventnor Square Theater opened its doors to the public today at a ribbon cutting that included local, state and federal officials.

U.S. Congressman Jeff Van Drew presented owners Clint Bunting, Scott Kaufman and former Ventnor resident Brett DeNafo with a proclamation from the U.S. House of Representatives. Van Drew thanked the Town Square Entertainment Group for being bullish on investing in South Jersey.

Commissioner Tim Kriebel said the group overcame every challenge that came their way, and there were many.

“Great things happen with great people are involved, and this team and this theater is not just about the product, it’s about the people,” he said.

Before using a gigantic scissors to cut the ribbon, Mayor Beth Holtzman said

“This was an eyesore in the city and I dare to say it is the jewel of Ventnor,” she said.
