VENTNOR – Mayor Beth Holtzman and Commissioners Lance Landgraf and Tim Kriebel held a brief ribbon cutting on the beach at Suffolk Avenue Monday to open the beaches for the summer season.
Although the beaches are always open, Holtzman said the brief ceremony officially welcomes visitor to the beaches of Ventnor.
After the ceremony and just for fun, Holtzman took a ride in the ocean aboard one of the Beach Patrol’s surf boats.
