VENTNOR – Sustainable Downbeach volunteers came out on Saturday, May 5 to conduct a semi-annual cleanup of the 1-mile stretch of wetlands along Wellington Avenue. The volunteers collected several bags of trash and a wooden sign saying they were “Blessed.”
The event, which is organized through the Surfrider Foundation South Jersey Chapter, is one way Sustainable Downbeach volunteers work to preserve and protect the marine environment at the Jersey Shore.
