VENTNOR – The Special Events Committee provided an updated list of fun outdoor events being held this summer at the beach on Newport Avenue and at Ski Beach in Ventnor Heights.
Here’s the lineup of entertainment:
Summer Beach Jam
Food and crafts start at 5 p.m., music begins at 6 p.m. Saturday nights at the Newport Avenue beach
- June 12 – Zoetrope, funky rock
- June 19 – Package Goods Orchestra, a little bit of everything
- June 26 – Crazy Uncle, classic rock
- July 3 – Dead Reckoning, Grateful Dead covers
- July 4 (Sunday) – People’s Choice/Ben Singleton, soul/Motown
- July 9 (Friday) – Don’t Call Me Francis, various
- July 10 – Kilted Rouges – Irish pipes and drums
- July 16 – Swing That Cat, swing/jazz
- July 17 – The Beat Tells, Beatles covers
- July 24 – The Notion, classic rock
- July 30 (Friday) – The Usual Suspects, pop/rock covers
- Aug. 7 – The Friends Classic Rock Band, classic rock
- Aug. 14 – SJC, rock
- Aug. 21 – The Flynn’s, Irish
- Aug. 28 – Fusebox, classic rock to today
- Sept. 4 – The Exceptions, a little bit of everything
Sunset at Ski Beach
Movies will be shown at Ski Beach, Dorset and Burke avenues, 5 p.m. Wednesdays, followed by concerts at 6:30 and 7:45 p.m. Crafters, food and beer garden will be available starting 5 p.m.
The lineup includes:
- June 25 (Friday) – Legacy Band
- June 30 – Disney’s “Soul,”Ricky Stevens and The Burnsiders, reggae
- July 14 – Sir Rod
- July 28 – Christmas in July – “Elf,” and Gina Roche, singer/songwriter
- Aug. 25 – “We Are Heroes,” Even Betta and The Burnsiders
- Sept. 3 (Friday) – Dueling Pianos
