MARGATE – After a difficult year, Playgroups Plus Preschool decided to switch up a typical graduation ceremony and instead visited Lucy the Elephant on graduation day, June 7.
The graduation theme was Dr. Seuss “Oh, the Places You’ll Go.” Owner Janet McCarron really wanted to make this year special because Playgroups’ families and staff worked hard to keep the school and children safe and healthy during a tough pandemic year.
Sixteen children graduated from Playgroups Plus and are headed off to kindergarten in September.
The children ended their graduation ceremony with a special song about Lucy the Elephant, written by Margate local Dan Walsh.
Those who made the day extra special are Lucy the Elephant, the City of Margate and Cousins Grill.
