Garden Talks continue monthly at the ACUA Community Garden in Egg Harbor Township.

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – The Atlantic County Utilities Authority and the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Atlantic County continue hosting free, timely, informative Garden Talks for both novice and experienced gardeners.

The monthly series continues with “Good Bugs, Bad Bugs” 6 p.m., Monday July 19 at the ACUA Community Garden, located 6700 Delilah Road, Egg Harbor Township.

Bring your questions and photos, and well, you can even bring a bug you are wondering about.

The talks are fun, and offer an opportunity  to learn more about what’s happening in your garden and how you can make this your most successful gardening year yet.

The meetings cover a range of gardening topics and explain what may be happening in your garden this month and how to prepare for the months to follow. Gardeners of all skill levels are invited to attend and bring questions about their own garden – there is always time for Q & A at the end.

Here is a list of upcoming sessions (all begin at 6 p.m.):

  • July 19 – Separating the Good Bugs from the Bad
  • Aug. 16 – Starting Your Fall Garden
  • Sept. 20 – Holiday Cactus
  • Oct. 18 – Closing Down Your Garden
  • Nov. 15 – Houseplants
  • Dec. 20 – Starting a Garden Journal for 2022

Individuals that are unable to attend a meeting can visit www.acua.com/garden to find fact sheets and information from previous Garden Talks.
