LONGPORT – The Church of the Redeemer welcomes families to bring their pets to the church, 11:20 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 15 to receive a blessing. The church is located at the corner of 20th and Atlantic avenues.
In past years, families brought their well-behaved dogs, cats, Guinea pigs and cockatoos to receive a blessing and a treat.
Participants also brought donations of cleaning products, air spray, cat scratcher refills, trash bags and cash to support the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter.
