A shofar blowing is planned for Shirat Hayam’s Tashlich service on the Newport Avenue beach in Ventnor.

VENTNOR – The second day of Rosh Hashana brings the Jewish faith’s Tashlich service, which includes a blowing of the shofar and casting of sins to the sea.

Shirat Hayam is planning a beach service 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8 on the beach at Newport Avenue.

Families are requested to bring their own beach chairs and blankets.

The service will be led by Cantor and Spiritual Reform Leader Jackie Menaker

COVID-19 protocols will be followed.
