The next ACUA Garden Talk will be held in the Geo Garden at ACUA on Delilah Road.

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – The Rutgers Master Gardeners of Atlantic County and the Atlantic County Utilities Authority partner to provide free informational garden meetings to the public.  The meetings provide timely, relevant information for home gardeners of all levels of experience.

The next meeting, which will be held 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, will focus on festive holiday cactus houseplants. You may know them as Christmas cactus plants, but there are also Easter cactus and Thanksgiving cactus plants.

These popular houseplants, often given as gifts during the holiday season have beautiful blooms of many colors and can be very long-lived.

Learn more about these festive houseplants and how to care for them. Participants will learn how to propagate these plants and take a holiday cactus cutting home.

Gardeners of all skill-levels are invited to attend and bring any gardening questions. There is always time for Q & A at the end.

Meetings have been offered as a combination of virtual and in-person (with COVID-precautions), and advanced registration is suggested: www.acua.com/garden.

The Sept. 20 meeting is planned as an in-person meeting and will be held outdoors weather permitting at ACUA’s Geo Garden area at the Environmental Park, 6700 Delilah Rd. in Egg Harbor Township.
