Avoid doing laundry during hydrant flushing.
LONGPORT – It’s that time of year again…time to make sure fire hydrants are working properly by flushing the borough water distribution system.
The borough will be flushing hydrants Tuesday through Friday, Oct. 12-15.
Residents should not be alarmed by discoloration of their tap water. The water is not contaminated but residents should avoid washing laundry, especially white loads, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. during the testing period.
