Volunteers needed for Oct. 23 Beach Sweep

Summer’s over and it’s time to clean up the beach 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 23 at more than 70 locations in New Jersey.

In the Atlantic County area, Atlantic City, Brigantine, Ventnor, Margate and Longport will be conducting the 36^th annual Fall Beach Sweep as follows:

• Brigantine – Brigantine Beach Patrol, 1700 S. 17^th St.
• Longport – Longport Beach Patrol 33^rd and Atlantic avenues
• Margate – Beach at Granville Avenue
• Ventnor – Newport Avenue Beach, 6500 Atlantic Ave.

Volunteers can register online at heep://cleanoceanaction.org/beach-sweeps/beach-sweep-registration-form. Clean-up supplies will be provided along with a card to record what you find on the beach
