Summer’s over and it’s time to clean up the beach 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 23 at more than 70 locations in New Jersey.

In the Atlantic County area, Atlantic City, Brigantine, Ventnor, Margate and Longport will be conducting the 36th annual Fall Beach Sweep as follows:

  • Brigantine – Brigantine Beach Patrol, 1700 S. 17th St.
  • Longport – Longport Beach Patrol 33rd and Atlantic avenues
  • Margate – Beach at Granville Avenue
  • Ventnor – Newport Avenue Beach, 6500 Atlantic Ave.

Volunteers can register online at heep://cleanoceanaction.org/beach-sweeps/beach-sweep-registration-form. Clean-up supplies will be provided along with a card to record what you find on the beach
