EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – The deadline for submissions for the Atlantic County Utilities Authority Recycled Art Contest is fast approaching, so it’s time for artists of all ages to create art from material destined for the recycling bin or trash can. Submissions for the ACUA’s seventh annual Recycled Art Contest will be accepted at local Atlantic County libraries until Oct. 23.

Guidelines:

  • Artwork must be made from recyclable or non-recyclable (trash) materials.
  • Maximum Size: 2-feet by 2-feet by 2-feet
  • Categories: Ages 8 and younger; 9-13; 14-18; 19 and older; or Group.
  • Entries must be submitted at the Atlantic County Library System branches in Absecon, Brigantine, Egg Harbor City, Egg Harbor Township, Galloway Township, Hammonton, Mays Landing, Pleasantville, Somers Point or Ventnor.
  • Artwork with completed entry form attached must be received between Tuesday, Oct. 12 and Saturday, Oct. 23.

Entries will be displayed at Library Branches, including the Ventnor Branch, 6500 Atlantic Ave., through Oct. 30. Artwork will be transported to ACUA to be entered for judging.

Awards will be presented and artwork will be showcased during the ACUA’s America Recycles Day Open House, 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13. Rain Date is Saturday, Nov. 20.
