Margate held its first-ever Trunk or Treat event, Friday, Oct. 22.

MARGATE – Hundreds of costumed characters turned out for the first-ever Trunk or Treat event held on Edgemar Circle behind the Sig Rimm Memorial Athletic Complex Friday, Oct. 22.

The event was sponsored by the Margate Mothers Association and Margate City Police Department. Det. Erin Borelli organized much of the event, which saw vehicles from city departments and community groups decorated to the hilt with mounds of candy for trick or treaters.

Children went trunk to trunk to collect their loot, and a local dance troupe performed in zombie tutus to “Ghost Busters” and “Thriller.”

Enjoy some photos from the event.
