OCEAN CITY – Curious about offshore wind? Want to know what it will mean for the Jersey shore? Then check out the Open House being held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6 at the Ocean City Music Pier.

Ocean Wind 1, New Jersey’s first offshore wind farm being developed by Ortsed and PSEG, will host an in-person open house in Ocean City with a virtual option to update residents and other communities on the status of the offshore wind farm and answer any questions they may have.

The Ocean Wind project to be located 15 miles off the coast will provide 1,100 megawatts of clean, reliable energy,  enough to power more than 500,000 homes and equivalent in size to one large fossil fuel power plant.

As the first offshore wind project in New Jersey to get off the ground, it is essential that Ocean Wind gets the constructive public input.
