VENTNOR – Chabad at the Shore will celebrate the first day of Chanuckah with its annual community Menorah Lighting and Chanukah Celebration, 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28 at the Chabad Chai Center, 6605 Atlantic Ave.
This year, the Ventnor Shul is bringing the ancient custom of giving Chanukah gelt/coins to a whole new level. Firefighters from the Ventnor fire station will be climbing their ladder high atop the shul showering participants below with chocolate coins.
The free outdoor event includes joy donuts, hot cocoa, latkes and hot dogs. The Children’s Choir will sing holiday songs.
