VENTNOR – According to an advisory from the Ventnor City Police Department Office of Emergency Management, due to the high tide, the Dorset Avenue bridge and Wellington Avenue are not passable in the Ventnor Heights area.

Police advise motorists to drive safely and responsibly, and be courteous to surrounding properties along streets that may also not be passable. Avoid creating wakes that cause greater damage to residential and commercial properties.

Do not drive through flood waters. Do not drive around barricades, the advisory states. They are there for your safety.

Remember the phrase: Turn Around, Don’t Drown.

Road closures are expected for about two hours. In the meantime, be patient and heed the warnings of first responders.
