ATLANTIC CITY – Less than a week after opening a free COVID-19 PCR test site in Galloway Township, Atlantic County and Stockton University are once again partnering to provide additional PCR and rapid testing in Atlantic City at the university’s Carnegie Center located at MLK Boulevard and Pacific Avenue.

The Carnegie Center will be available for testing beginning Tuesday, Jan. 25 with a choice of a PCR saliva test or a nasal swab rapid test.

Vault Health is contracted to provide as many as 300 tests each day with lab results within 24-48 hours following testing. The site is funded by the NJ Department of Health with support from Atlantic County, Stockton University and the City of Atlantic City.

The site will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday for any state resident age 4 and older. Appointments are not required, but pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

  • Those seeking a PCR test may pre-register at covid.vlt.co.
  • Those seeking a rapid test may pre-register at swab.vlt.co.

Officials remind residents of the importance of testing as people may have COVID-19 without displaying any symptoms and could therefore have the potential to unknowingly spread the virus. The demand for testing has increased as testing is now required by many employers, educational institutions, those who may be traveling, having medical procedures and more.

With the opening of the sites in Galloway Township and Atlantic City, the county is closing the drive-through site at the Public Works Yard in Northfield that it has been operating in collaboration with AtlantiCare. The final day for testing at the Northfield site is Friday, Jan. 21. Those who were tested at the site in Northfield may obtain lab results from the LabCorp patient portal at: https://patient.labcorp.com/landing.

Atlantic County also continues to provide free COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters for county residents 18 and older at two county clinics available as follows:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to noon at 201 S. Shore Road, Northfield
  • Tuesday only, 10 a.m.–1 p.m. at 310 Bellevue Ave., Hammonton.

No appointments are necessary. Those seeking booster shots should bring their vaccination cards. Participants have their choice of the Johnson & Johnson or Moderna vaccines for primary doses or boosters. Free annual flu shots are also available.
