Nurse Lauren Geib is Shore Medical Center’s Guardian Angel for the month of February.

SOMERS POINT – Shore Medical Center announced that RN Lauren Geib is the hospital’s February Guardian Angel of the Month for providing passionate and exceptional care to Shore’s patients.

The Guardian Angel program was established to enable community members to say ‘thank you’ to a special Shore caregiver through a donation to the medical center in their honor.

Geib, a resident of Cape May Court House, began her career at Shore in 2017 working in obstetrics before joining the endoscopy team in 2020.

Nurse Manager Jennifer Pero, used words such as dependable, honest, and selfless to describe Geib, adding that she is a true professional.

“We are blessed to have Lauren as a member of our endo family. We love her and so do our patients,” Pero said.

The grateful patient who nominated Geib as a Guardian Angel said, “Thank you for the exceptional care that I recently received as a patient. Your doctors and nurses literally saved my life. Lauren, my surgical nurse, was so kind and compassionate. She took the time to explain my diagnosed condition which helped put me at ease. I was so relieved and happy to receive this diagnosis and was so impressed with the surgery team. God bless Shore Medical Center and all the healthcare workers. You guys are my heroes!”

Outside of work, Geib spends her time with her daughter and husband enjoying the outdoors and sunshine, traveling and camping.

Guardian Angels are recognized among their peers and presented with a Guardian Angel pin at Shore’s annual pinning ceremony.
