MARGATE – Commissioner of Public Safety John Amodeo swore-in a full-time police officer at the Board of Commissioners meeting Thursday, March 3.
Officer Joshua Donovan took the oath of office while his girlfriend Lexi Patterson held the Bible.
Donovan, who has served as a Class 2 officer in various capacities since 2019, was assigned to the Patrol Division.
Donovan, 23, who lives in Hammonton, is a member of the New Jersey Air National Guard and has served in overseas deployments.
He replaces an officer who retired.
