Sustainable Margate will be holding a native plant giveaway on Arbor Day.

MARGATE – Sustainable Margate, the city’s green team, will be distributing free tree seedlings to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of Arbor Day.

The Arbor Day celebration will be held 1:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, April 29 at the field behind Anne Pancoast Dog Park, next to Fire Station No. 2 on N. Belmont Avenue.

Members of Sustainable Margate will be distributing year-old beach plum and bayberry shrubs and red maple trees, and native butterfly weed and purple coneflower seed packets.
