Ventnor City Farmers Market

VENTNOR – The wait is nearly over. The Ventnor City Farmers Market opens Friday, May 27 and will run every Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon until Labor Day weekend in the parking lot at St. James Church on the corner of Newport and Atlantic avenues.

Market managers Penny and Andy Starer and Maria Gatta are over-the-moon excited to welcome back more than 60 vendors, including several new ones, and thousands of happy marketgoers with bags overflowing with Jersey Fresh-ness. The Old Coots will once again be giving advice and Ginny will be back for face-painting – both are free to all.

In its sixth year, the market has taken on a new look. Thanks to Rob Reed of the Ventnor Vibe Co., a fresh logo and some fabulous new swag calls attention to the market’s connection to Ventnor City and being “down the shore.” The market will be selling its branded colorful beach towels, unique tees, zip-up hoodies and one-of-a-kind tote bags.

Market managers will have a tent set up at the Ventnor Block Party on Ventnor Avenue May 7 to provide an early glimpse at all the goodies.

In addition to the Ventnor City Farmers Market Facebook and Instagram pages, patrons will be able to access market information on a newly designed website, www.vcfm.org.

Marketgoers are reminded that the traffic pattern on Newport Avenue has changed to one-way from Atlantic to Ventnor Avenue.
