American Cancer Society Bikeathon.

Atlantic City Police Department

Atlantic City Police have issued a traffic advisory for Sunday, June 12 when the American Cancer Society’s 50th annual “Bridge to the Beach” Bikeathon rolls into town.

The golden anniversary of the annual fundraiser celebrates cancer fighters who ride mile after mile to honor others, give hope and save lives. This year’s fundraising goal is $1.5 million.

Bikers will be riding into Atlantic City via the Atlantic City Expressway to Exit 2 and then use Albany Avenue until they reach their destination at Bader Field.

Exit 2 of the Atlantic City Expressway will be closed 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Albany Avenue will be reduced to one lane from Exit 2 to Bader Field until 4 p.m.

Motorists should expect delays on the Expressway and Albany Avenue. Police advise motorists to seek an alternate route to enter the city, such as Route 30, Downbeach Express in Margate or the Longport Bridge.
