VENTNOR – A Fireworks display for the Independence Day holiday will take place 9:30 p.m. Sunday, July 3, following the Ventnor 50th anniversary Mile Run and the concert by the U.S. Air Force Full Spectrum Band on the beach at Newport Avenue.

For the safety of the public while the pirotechnicians prepare for the extravaganza, a three-block area of the Ventnor beach will be closed for the entire day Sunday, July 3. The affected area will be between Avolyn and Stratford avenues. This includes the New Haven and Newport Avenue beach areas.  Lifeguards normally stationed at New Haven Avenue will be located at Portland Avenue.

The best place to view the fireworks will be from the beachfront park on Newport Avenue behind the Ventnor City library where the concert will be held.

Margate City’s fireworks display will be held at dusk on July 4.

Questions can be forwarded to the Ventnor Special Events Office at 609-823-7919 or email specialevents@ventnorcity.org
