MARGATE – Atlantic City Electric, an Exelon company, has made a pledge to be an agency Builder Donor to Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties. The funds totaling $3,000 will support health and social service programs to assure residents and clients continue to receive services that benefit their individual needs.

“We are delighted to welcome Atlantic City Electric as an Agency Donor. For more than 10 years, the company has been committed to supporting the JFS Food Pantry and fundraising endeavors. This financial contribution further emphasizes their steadfast commitment to the betterment of the community,” JFS CEO Andrea Steinb said in a release.

“We are extremely pleased to support JFS as well as the many organizations across our communities that provide worthwhile services for residents in need through various fundraising efforts and volunteer opportunities,” Atlantic City Electric Region President Doug Mokoid said. “These contributions are part of our commitment to powering communities and being a good corporate citizen for the areas where our employees live and work.”

Charitable contributions from Atlantic City Electric include more than financial support, they come with a dedicated pledge of volunteers. In 2021, Atlantic City Electric contributed approximately $1.2 million to local non-profits, while its employees volunteered nearly 12,580 hours to help hundreds of organizations throughout South Jersey.
