Karen Kingsbury

The Ocean City Tabernacle welcomes New York Times No. 1 bestselling author Karen Kingsbury to speak at the 8:30 a.m. traditional and 10:30 a.m. contemporary services on Sunday, July 17.

With more than 25 million books in print, Kingsbury is America’s favorite inspirational storyteller. Her last dozen novels have hit the top spot on national bestseller lists, and several of her books have been the subject of Hallmark movies.

It was recently announced that Roma Downey and MGM Studios are developing a TV series out of 22 of Kingsbury’s Baxter Family books.

Kingsbury is also a visiting professor at Liberty University, where she teaches a master class on storytelling. She lives in Nashville with her husband and five sons, three of whom were adopted from Haiti.

Point of Grace

Also returning to the Tabernacle on July 17 will be Christian music trio Point of Grace.  For more than two decades, their faith-filled passionate lyrics, memorable melodies and soaring harmonies have inspired generations to live boldly and keep God’s love as the foundation of their lives, according to a Tabernacle news release.

With over 8 million recordings sold, three Grammy nominations and multiple Dove awards, the story of a few gifted college girls with a simple passion to unite and share their musical gifts for the Glory of God continues to evolve and engage thousands of fans, both old and new, the release says.

The free concert begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. for first come, first served seating and a hymn sing at 6:30 p.m.
