Dr. John Townsend

Ocean City Tabernacle welcomes author John Townsend to speak at the 8:30 a.m. traditional and 10:30 a.m. contemporary services on Sunday, July 31.

Dr. Townsend is a business consultant, leadership coach and psychologist. He has written over 30 books, selling 10 million copies, including the New York Times best-selling Boundaries series, Leading from Your Gut, Handling Difficult People and People Fuel.

For more than 20 years, he has engaged with leaders, organizations and individuals around the globe, offering them life-changing solutions to their problems.

He also hosts his own online live video call-in program, “Dr. Townsend Live,” where he provides answers to callers’ challenges. His podcast, “Dr. Townsend Podcast,” gives practical solutions to complex issues. He is also a co-host of the “New Life Live” program.

Sandi Patty

Also returning to the Tabernacle on July 31 will be world-renowned vocalist Sandi Patty. The highly acclaimed performer has five Grammy awards, four Billboard Music Awards, three platinum records, five gold records and 11 million units sold. With 40 Dove Awards, she is also the most awarded female vocalist in contemporary Christian music history.

While her three-decade-plus career is heavily rooted in the gospel music industry, Sandi has had the opportunity in recent years to extend her career outside the genre, performing with symphonies across the country, including the New York Pops, Boston Pops, Cincinnati Pops, Dallas Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, Houston Symphony, and Oklahoma City Philharmonic.

Her free concert at the Tabernacle begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:15 p.m. for first-come, first-served seating and a hymn sing at 6:30 p.m.
