Atlantic County Executive Dennis Levinson and the Atlantic County Criminal Justice Advisory Board are inviting school officials to attend a presentation and discussion on the use of armed officers and K-9s to enhance school security and protect students and staff from harm.

“There are many issues that currently divide our country, but most of us can agree that something needs to be done to provide a safe environment in which our children can learn, socialize and develop. Children, parents and teachers deserve safe schools without the fear of violence,” Levinson said in a release.

The presentation will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25 at the Atlantic County Criminal Court Complex, 4997 Unami Blvd. in Mays Landing.

Those interested in attending may respond by Aug. 18 to jason.wertzberger@njcourts.gov.
