MAYS LANDING – The League of Women Voters of Atlantic County is sponsoring a debate for the New Jersey 2nd Congressional District candidates 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20 at Oakcrest High School. The debate will also be live-streamed. Invitations have been sent to U.S. Rep. Jeff VanDrew (R), Tim Alexander (D), and Libertarian candidate Michael Gallo.

“Debates are an important part of the League’s mission to provide non-partisan information for voters,” League Chair Ro Goldberg said in a release. “Debates allow residents to make informed decisions by hearing the candidates themselves discuss their qualifications and platforms.”

Detailed information about the streaming and recordings of the debate will be announced soon. The league also is planning a debate for candidates running in the Atlantic County Commissioners race 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 11 at a Greater Egg Harbor Regional High School to be announced.
