JFS/Women enjoy the JFS House Tour benefiting Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore 2022.

MARGATE – Jewish Family Service of Atlantic & Cape May Counties has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Dennis Schuman Charitable Foundation to support The Lynn Kramer Village by the Shore.

The funding will allow JFS to continue to help older adults, over the age of 50, thrive in the community by providing essential services and programs. The Village offers much-needed services including grocery shopping and delivery, transportation, intergenerational activities, care coordination, friendly check-ins and more.

“We are grateful to the Dennis Schuman Charitable Foundation for selecting JFS to receive this grant,” said Andrea Steinberg, JFS Chief Executive Officer. “With nearly 200 Village members, including 25 Holocaust survivors in the region, this generous funding ensures JFS can continue to help as needs evolve.”

Established as a legacy following his passing in 2013, the Dennis Schuman Charitable Foundation predominantly provides grants to Jewish organizations and charities for scientific, literacy, educational, charitable or religious purposes throughout the United States.
