MAYS LANDING – The League of Women Voters of Atlantic County has invited all four candidates vying for the U.S. House of Representatives seat in District 2 to a debate scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20 at Oakcrest High School in Mays Landing.

According to a release from league Communication Coordinator Renee Rubin, of the four candidates, Democrat candidate Tim Alexander and Libertarian candidate Michael Gallo have formally accepted the invitation. Republican candidate Jeff Van Drew has not formally accepted, and Not for Sale Party candidate Anthony Parisi Sanchez has refused the invitation.

The LWVNJ is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that promotes political responsibility through informed and active participation in government. It coordinate debates across the state at all levels of government and provides trained moderators to ensure nonpartisan discourse and promote fairness.
