There’s a new date to chow down at Ventnor Pasta Dinner.

The remnants of Hurricane Ian are slated to reach the Downbeach area over the weekend, and heavy rains and tidal flooding are predicted.

To ensure safety of diners, Ventnor’s Mangia, Mangia Sunday Supper scheduled for Oct. 2 has been postponed. The event was rescheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9 in the tent outside Red Room Cafe on Dorset Avenue.

The event includes a family styled Italian Sunday supper with appetizers, salad, pasta, meatballs and desserts and entertainment by Vic Rubino.

Tickets are $35 for adults, $15 for children under 12. To purchase a ticket, visit Eventbrite.com and search for Ventnor Pasta. Limited seating is available.

Also postponed until 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 is the Chelsea Atlantic City disrict’s Empanada Challgenge originally scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1.

The Chelsea Economic Development Corportation will have its Empanada Party 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 at O’Donnell Park, 3501 Atlantic Ave., in Atlantic City, when it plans to announce the winners of the month-long empanada tasting competition held locations throughout Atlantic City.

The event includes a chef’s tasting, announcement of the winners, dance class competition, fun activities and entertainment by Gypsy Joe Vlado.
