SOMERS POINT – If you have yet to receive your annual influenza vaccine, it’s time to make a plan. Shore Physicians Group will host a drive-through flu shot clinic 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 at the group’s Surgical Division parking lot, 649 Shore Road. The flu shot clinic is open to patients age 18 and older and is free with insurance.
Vehicles may have a maximum of four patients per vehicle and each patient must have a scheduled appointment. For walk-up participants, an appointment is not necessary.

You do not need to be a current patient of Shore Physicians Group to participate in the flu shot clinic.
Shore Physicians Group is also offering the flu shot at each of its primary care offices, which are located in Margate, Marmora, Mays Landing, Northfield, Ocean City and Somers Point.
The CDC recommends that everyone age six months and up, with rare exceptions, receives the seasonal flu vaccine. They estimate that since 2010 influenza has annually resulted in 9 million to 45 million illnesses, 140,000 to 810,000 hospitalizations and 12,000 to 61,000 deaths annually.
