SOMERS POINT – Shore Physicians Group announced its next “Be Well Connected” free community education event is on the topic “Diabetes 101: Management & Prevention.”

The event will be held 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Nov. 3 at Josie Kelly’s Public House and will feature a complimentary Irish continental breakfast.

Three clinicians from SPG’s Endocrinology Division will present at the event: Endocrinologist Dr. Matthew Corcoran, who will speak about the effects that diabetes has on the body and differences between type I and type II diabetes; Taylor Donovan, RN, MSN, a diabetes care specialist, who will discuss the various technologies available to aid in diabetes management; and Tiffany Rios, a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator, who will discuss the role nutrition plays in diabetes prevention and management.

Shore Physicians Group’s Endocrinology Division, 18 W.
