VENTNOR – Shirat Hayam will host a series of discussions on author Ellen Frankel’s, “The Five Books of Miriam,” which looks at the Torah through the eyes of five women.

The book, which was first published in 1996, will be discussed in-person and online, 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday evenings, starting Oct. 20.

According to Amazon.com, the unforgettable voices in the book “examine and debate every aspect of a Jewish woman’s life – work, sex, marriage, her connection to God and her place in the Jewish community and in the world.”

Rabbi Jonathan Kremer will lead the discussions.

The talks are free for Shirat Hayam congregants. The book is not included.

To register, call Cathleen Kunkle, at 609-822-7116, ext. 101.
