Ocean Wind, LLC (Ocean Wind 1) will hold a virtual public hearing 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14. The hearing was originally scheduled for Oct. 3 but was canceled due to inclement weather.

The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comment on the proposed diversion of an approximately 0.647-acre portion of Ocean City owned parkland that is encumbered by State of New Jersey Green Acres restrictions.

Ocean Wind 1 is seeking NJ Board of Public Utilities approval to acquire permanent rights of way and easements needed to install an underground cable in connection with its proposed Ocean Wind 1 Offshore Wind Farm Project, which will generate a minimum of 1,100 megawatts of offshore wind resources.

Members of the public may participate in the hearing via video conference or by telephone.
